I am so excited to share this very special wedding styled shoot at Brooklyn’s Acqua Santa. The wonderfully talented Jove Meyer Events and I collaborated on a vintage garden style–perfect for a Brooklyn bride.

We are absolutely thrilled to be featured on Wedding Chicks today!

Brooklyn’s Williamsburg has such a great vibe––urban, historic, artistic, eclectic and, of course, includes the hipster culture. Translating that into a garden wedding in an Italian restaurant was challenging and full of rich inspiration for photography. Jove did a terrific job designing and planning a wedding with this distinctive look. The style incorporated special touches like a floral crown, vintage plates, bird table numbers and an antique inspired dessert table with jewelry boxes.

Wild Ivy is the brilliant designer of all the gorgeous blooms! The aisle of petals, floral chandelier, crown, and all the amazing floral pieces really were the heart of the shoot.

Shoes from Chromatic Gallerie, where you can pick your perfect color, and a handmade sash from Hushed Commotion add to the charm and personal touch of a Brooklyn wedding.

Fourteen-Forty created all the delightful paper pieces with a custom design with a floral motif and sweet little bird table numbers.

Catbird, Williamsburg’s go-to place for handmade jewelry and unique designs, provided the simple and delicate baguette ring.

The cake by Sugar Flower Cake Shop featured a gorgeous red rose and Nutella cake cups by Alana Jones Mann were the perfect jewels to compliment the design–and such a sweet treat!

Our bride looks so gorgeous thanks to the fresh-faced makeup by Sally Duvall and an on-trend fishtail braid by Stacey Weinstein of Once Upon A Bride.

Even in my busiest season, it is important to take a day for some fun! On Sunday we took a ZipCar up to Outhouse Orchards with some friends to enjoy the beautiful weather, get away from the city and treat ourselves some of the best apple cider doughnuts I have ever had! Thanks to my friend, Jennie, for taking this photo.

Jess and Jason had a beautiful early Autumn wedding at the historical landmark, Morven Park, in Leesburg, Virginia.

Jason’s expression when he saw Jess for the first time was PRICELESS!

Morven Park includes a 1,000-acre estate and mansion that has evolved from a fieldstone farmhouse in 1781 to its current turn-of-the-century style facade. The grounds include this gorgeous wrought iron gate, gardens, reflecting pool and beautiful oak trees.

These flower girls were just TOO CUTE!

Jess shares, “When we went to tour Morven Park as a possible venue we both loved it. Jason was really thrilled with the idea of having the ceremony at the oak tree. The college where we met, Elon, is Hebrew for oak. The campus is full of oak trees and there is a grove in the center of campus where they hold orientation and commencement ‘Under The Oaks.’ Once we saw the oak tree at Morven Park, it was almost too perfect.”

During the ceremony Jason’s brother read these lovely lyrics from Neil Young’s Comes a Time:

The style of the wedding combined A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Jess and Jason’s love for music.

The reception was full of wonderful music decor including escort cards at will call and vinyl record table numbers.

Jess adds, “One of my favorite moments of the night was at the reception. I was able to take a minute and step back and soak it all in–everyone on the dance floor or hanging out at tables talking with each other. It was so great to see all of our family and friends come together and have fun.”

I am so excited to share this very special wedding styled shoot at the Upper West Side’s Caffè Storico and New-York Historical Society. The truly fabulous Roey Mizrahi Events and I collaborated on a fresh style based on Italy meets New York, modern meets traditional and yellow goes chic!

We are absolutely thrilled to be featured on Style Me Pretty today!

And Here We Are created a beautiful custom invitation suite mixing hand written typography, graphic rosemary imagery and bright yellow.

Winifred Bean’s Iris gown, featuring a fluted peplum bustier top, was just the right balance of modern style and glamor. It is completed with a delicately crafted silk velvet sash with gold and pearl embellishments from Hushed Commotion.

Karma Flowers created a concept for the flowers and decor that would work well in a cafe setting. A blend of sophisticated New York style and natural and unfussy Italian destination style resulted in the exuberant bunches of white and green.

The New-York Historical Society was founded in 1804, making it New York’s first museum. The architecture is stunning. I just LOVE this winding staircase.

Jane Taylor Jewelry’s pieces are so pretty, easy to wear and add just the right touch of color.

Caffè Storico is a gorgeous restaurant inside the museum. The modern design with yellow banquet and walls of white china make for a chic and glamorous setting.

DIY projects are a fun way to include a personal touch to your wedding. These gold spray-painted taxis were the perfect escort to drive guests to their table.

New Yorkers love their dogs! Josie, my French bulldog, was such a good little model! It was a real treat to have her be a part of the shoot.

SB Beauty did a fantastic job with Cleo’s hair and makeup. Doesn’t she look GORGEOUS?!

Madison Lee’s cake was brilliantly executed to mirror the molding in the Caffè and pop with a dazzling bunch of edible flowers. The dessert table was completed with Little Boo Boo Bakery delicious champagne wedding marshmallows that taste oh-so-great in a cup of tea. The marshmallow mountain is topped with a whimsical custom-made topper from Etsy’s The Pixelette.

Sarah and Andy were married on a lovely, warm September day.

Sarah and Andy’s guests came from all over the world to celebrate with them. One guest mentioned to Sarah that she needed to get a cool black dress for their NYC wedding. Sarah decided she didn’t want people to think they needed to wear black so she asked everyone to wear bright colors. She also asked all the ladies to wear fascinators to honor her English roots and the men to wear colorful socks and ties.

Sarah’s friends gathered at a salon before the wedding to get their hair done and have their beautiful fascinators styled. One of my favorite moments from the day was just when Sarah’s makeup was finished and Aretha Franklin’s RESPECT came on over the radio. Sarah got up and had an impromptu performance in the salon with her friends. It was so much fun!

Sarah’s mom helped her get ready and then we all gathered in Washington Square Park for photos.

Gotta LOVE these shoes!

Sarah and Andy share, “We met in London in the Summer of 2009, while we were both working for the same law firm. Over a year later we started dating and the rest is history. It’s been a fun journey!”

The couple signed the Ketubah and then prepared for the ceremony at the Manhattan Penthouse.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour. The Manhattan Penthouse has a beautiful bar and amazing 360° view of the city.

Sarah adds, “We felt so fortunate that so many people made the effort to join us on our special day, and it was amazing to see the faces of so many people that mean so much to us as we said our vows.  We had so much fun, and the night flew by too quickly, but we cherish the memories we have from it. Andy and I were the last ones to leave the after-party as we were having so much fun. There were so many great moments – too many to recount.”
